Bringing an esports team coach to LAN?
Do they need a ticket?
Yes, all coaches need a ticket for the event. Coaches are not eligible to apply for free Industry tickets.
If they plan to bring a computer and take a seat at the event, they will need a BYOC Participant ticket.
If they just plan to stand and be near to the team, a spectator ticket will be fine.
If you need to have the coach on the roster to act as a potential substitute, they will also need a BYOC Participant ticket.
Stage Access
If your team makes it to the stage finals, we do not currently have technical provision or equipment for coaches to have access on stage to the game or voice comms. Any access to voicecomms would need to be through a laptop/phone provided by the coach.
Coaches must adhere to the same ear protection as all players on stage so crowd/commentator cues cannot be heard, i.e. in ears + over ear headsets.
Coaching Rules
Coaches should make themselves familiar with the specific coaching rules for the tournament they are participating in.
